Job summary

Miami University is seeking a Sr Student Services Technician in Enrollment Operations to support admission decisions and coordinate communications with prospective students across campuses. The role involves handling recruitment materials, email/text campaigns, and maintaining enrollment-related databases.

The position requires at least 18 months of coursework beyond high school and 3 years of admissions or registrar experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist with the accurate review and release of admission decisions for all campuses.
  • Support and assist with the delivery of recruitment, procedural and ad-hoc emails, text messages, and mailings to prospective students and applicants and assist in preparing, maintaining and monitoring automated prospective student communications.
  • Assist with the maintenance of applications, forms, checklists, status pages and confirmation processes for recruitment, admission, and special programs.
  • Assist with the management of on- and off- campus event registration websites, forms, reporting, check-ins, and surveys.
  • Support prospective student processing and maintain the integrity of recruitment and admission information and databases.
  • Monitors and reviews operations of admission, registration, and student financial assistance; ensures smooth work flow; ensures work product meets professional standards.
  • Serves as informational resource to prospective students, current students and parents; investigates and resolves problems or difficulties related to admission, registration, and financial assistance. Interprets policies and procedures.
  • Performs a variety of complex to advanced administrative tasks which may include coordinating student services/operations; updates, maintains and composes correspondence; processes/oversees admission, registration and financial assistance related transactions; perform various financial and budgetary tasks.
  • Oversees staff; assists in the enforcement of policies and procedures; establishes schedules and reviews performance.
  • Gathers and analyzes statistical information regarding department's programs and activities; produces reports.
  • Exercises judgment in providing guidelines; advise staff regarding admission, registration and financial assistance objectives.

Job Description Summary

Performs a variety of complex to advanced administrative tasksinvolving some discretion and requiring moderate amounts ofindependent judgment related to the oversight of the dailyoperations of Admission, Registrar and Student FinancialAssistance

Essential Duties

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer and office applications
  • Knowledge of related state and federal laws, e.g. FERPA
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with people with diverse backgrounds
  • May require supervisory, clerical and/or research skills
