Yona Solutions in Mount Vernon, Ohio, is seeking a friendly Server to join our team and provide warm hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers. You will set up dining spaces, take orders, serve meals promptly, and ensure guests have everything they need for a pleasant dining experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to sanitation standards. Prior server or food service experience is preferred; a high school diploma and ability to pass a background

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Server
• Customer service experience appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
• Must provide a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served
• Sets up dining room as instructed
• Prepares items such as salads and beverages
• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
• Distributes menus and presents daily specials
• Answers questions regarding the menu
• Takes resident orders in dining room and serves meals to residents in a timely manner
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to residents' satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
• Cleans resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils according to the proper procedures
• Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen
• Washes cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils
• Cleans eating and prep surfaces, sweeps and mops floor
• Removes garbage
• Stores food in designated areas
• Reports any issues or problems that may arise to Food Services Director
• Complies with state and federal sanitation standards
• Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards
• Attends in-services and other required meetings
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
