Job summary

Preston House is seeking a part-time cook who enjoys preparing delicious meals, working with a team, and making a positive impact on residents. You’ll help prepare and serve fresh, appealing meals in a welcoming dining environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certificate or ability to obtain certification
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
• One year of food preparation and therapeutic diet experience
• Must be 16+ (18+ for machine operation in NC)
• Three years’ experience in healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare appetizing foods that are appealing in appearance
• Follow safety and sanitary requirements
• Learn basic tasks and follow written and verbal instructions
• Provide pleasant, friendly and helpful service
• Adhere to dress requirements and be well-groomed
