Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 1–2 years of similar cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and established safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh scratch-made meals per recipes for residents according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies.
• Properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.
• Set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed.
• Prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas.
• Utilize technology and computerized systems to create a great dining experience for residents and families.
