Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is hiring a Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will ensure courteous service, maintain cleanliness, assist with events, and help with cost controls while upholding high standards of safety and sanitation.

The role involves communicating menu details, supporting daily meal service, and collaborating with team members to create a welcoming dining environment that reflects Cedarhurst’s commitment to resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions, ensuring resident satisfaction.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service to residents and guests.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area following food safety standards.
• Clear and reset tables; complete daily checklists to maintain dining areas.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas and ensure floors, tables, and chairs are clean after meals and events.
• Communicate menu details clearly to residents and families.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in senior living (2 years preferred)

CPR or BLS certification preferred

Tools

MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Electronic health record systems
