Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Dining Server to provide courteous, efficient table service for residents and guests in the evenings. The role supports dining operations, events, and maintains high standards of cleanliness and food safety to ensure a welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities include serving residents, assisting with events, and collaborating with the team to uphold Cedarhurst’s dining standards while prioritizing resident well-being and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with the ability to obtain licensure if required by the state in which employed.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/eHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, and events to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow all food safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; manage daily checklists for dining areas.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas and restocking supplies; ensure floors and surfaces are clean.
• Communicate menu details to residents and families and adapt service to individual preferences.
