Job summary

The Hospitality Concierge at Sunnyside Communities delivers exceptional food service and personalized resident support to create a positive dining experience. They act as a liaison between residents and Dining Services, building relationships and identifying dining needs and preferences.

The role involves visiting residents, taking orders, following up on feedback, and coordinating with Assisted Living, Health Care, and other departments to ensure residents feel heard and valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or dining preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a hospitality-focused approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and respond appropriately to individual needs and preferences.
• Strong listening, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Dining Services, Assisted Living, Health Care, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive, professional relationships with residents and provide personalized hospitality.
• Serve as a consistent point of contact for dining needs, preferences, questions, and concerns.
• Visit residents dining in their rooms and take orders for the following day.
• Follow up with residents regarding food quality, meal selection, service, and dining preferences.
• Identify and communicate resident needs, concerns, requests, and preferences to the appropriate Dining team member or supervisor.
• Provide meaningful conversation and interaction while respecting professional boundaries, privacy, dignity, and individual preferences.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to the dietary, nutritional, physical, and hospitality needs of an aging population.
• Recognize residents’ birthdays and provide approved birthday items when appropriate for their diet.
• Contact a CNA or appropriate team member when a resident requests assistance outside the scope of Dining Services.
