Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in State College, PA seeks a Dining Server to courteously serve meals to residents and guests and to reset the dining room after service. You will assist with menu orders, beverage service, and tray delivery while maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Training and team collaboration are emphasized at Harmony.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow simple instructions.
• Must be able to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must communicate effectively and work under supervision.
• Must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously in the dining room.
• Assist residents with menu orders and beverage service.
• Replenish condiments and reset dining areas after meals.
• Report broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Assist with tray service and follow confidentiality policies.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room.
