Job summary

Intersect Healthcare is seeking a Food and Nutrition Aide to provide meals and service to residents, guests, and staff in a clean kitchen environment. You will assist with trays, salads, and desserts, following dietary policies and portion controls.

Role involves sanitation, proper food handling, and timely meal delivery, while upholding resident rights and HIPAA guidelines. Prior food service experience is helpful; training is provided.

• Able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve salads and desserts using standardized recipes.
• Set up trays quickly and accurately at food stations.
• Place foods and condiments on trays according to meal and resident preferences.
• Follow directions for serving modified diets and adhere to portion controls.
• Deliver trays to resident areas and assist with tray distribution.
• Clear trays and wash soiled dishware after meals.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and wear appropriate uniform.
• Clean work areas and equipment such as counters and steam tables.
• Report sanitation hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
