Job summary

Nebraska Ag Connection is seeking a Resident Diesel Technician to service CLAAS machinery across Western Nebraska, including field, shop, and customer sites. You will troubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, HVAC, and perform diagnostics using service manuals and digital tools.

Ideal candidates have a diesel tech degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years in field service, own tools, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Diesel Tech School Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years' experience in a field service technician role preferred.
• Must provide personal tools for position.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics.

Removes, installs, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses of all CLAAS equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, electronic and computer applications, heating and air conditioning (HVAC).* Troubleshoots and repairs customer machines at customer jobsites* Uses SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problems* Machinery Inspection* Machinery Set-Up and Adjustment* Uses laptop to enter labor, fill out service reports and complete warranty reports* Uses service manuals and parts books to look up specs and parts for repairsNote: This position includes frequent travel by auto; valid driver's license with a verifiably safe driving history is required.
