Job summary

The Farmer Veteran Coalition seeks a Resident Service Technician to repair CLAAS equipment at customer locations, in the shop, or in the field. You will diagnose issues across engines, electrical, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC, and computer controls, using service manuals and parts books to source parts.

Travel within the region is required, with potential overnight stays. Diesel tech schooling or equivalent experience is preferred, and you must be comfortable working independently while

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a field service technician role or equivalent.
• Diesel tech schooling preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret parts/machine schematics.
• Excellent oral and written communication and customer service.
• Willingness to travel region; valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Repair CLAAS equipment in field, shop or customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, transmission and HVAC systems.
• Use manuals and parts books to locate specs and parts.
• Enter labor and service reports, complete warranty reports.
• Travel frequently; may include overnight/weekend work.
