Job summary

Nebraska Harvest Center Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician to repair CLAAS equipment in the field, shop, or at customer sites in the region.

This role requires travel, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Diesel tech training or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diesel Tech School Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in a field service technician role, preferred.
• Prior experience in troubleshooting methods and tools required.
• Must provide personal tools for position
• Working knowledge of CLAAS parts is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret parts and machine schematics.
• Ability to travel within region and to work with limited supervision.
• Must be self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently.
• Must be able to maintain professionalism at all times.
• Farm background desirable.
• Ability to safely operate large machinery.
• Must meet deadlines and handle high volume workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs customer machines at customer jobsites.
• Uses SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problems.

• Uses laptop to enter labor, fill out service reports, and complete warranty reports.

Your role in our team:

The Field Service Technician repairs machines to the customer’s satisfaction in the field, shop or customers location. Removes, installs, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses of all CLAAS equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, electronic and computer applications, heating and air conditioning (HVAC).

Note: This position includes frequent travel by auto; valid driver’s license with a verifiably safe driving history is required. May require overnight travel and weekend or evening work.

• Troubleshoots and repairs customer machines at customer jobsites.
• Uses SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problems.
