Job summary

David Raines Community Health Centers is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to plan and execute outreach, engagement, and partnership initiatives in Shreveport, LA. You will represent the organization, coordinate events, and support fundraising activities to increase patient engagement.

The role requires building relationships with community organisations, schools, and businesses, managing logistics, and driving organizational growth. Travel and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in community relations or development activities.
• Willing to travel and/or work extended hours including weekends to coordinate activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute community outreach activities and engagement initiatives.
• Represent DRCHC at community events, schools, churches, and business forums.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organisations to raise awareness of DRCHC services.
• Support business development through outreach to prospective organisations and partnerships.
• Coordinate logistics for outreach events, health fairs, and mobile unit activities.
• Lead and coordinate DRCHC's annual fundraising event and donor stewardship efforts.
• Coordinate community outreach related to mobile medical unit in collaboration with clinic leadership.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events and initiatives.
• Research grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities to support initiatives.
• Assist in developing community liaison groups to strengthen relationships.
