Sur La Table in Wisconsin is seeking a Resident Chef to lead high-performing culinary teams and deliver engaging in-store cooking classes. You will coach associates, ensure an exceptional class experience, and partner with store leadership to drive foot traffic and sales.

The role requires culinary talent, business acumen, and teaching ability, with a focus on customer delight across kitchen and retail spaces. Strong leadership and a passion for cooking are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Culinary degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered in exceptional cases.
• 1–2 years experience as a culinary instructor.
• 3–4 years of progressively responsible kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and motivating high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performing culinary teams to inspire customers at every stage of their culinary experience.
• Oversight of in-store culinary program and cooking classes.
• Drive sales growth through engaging classes and customer experiences.
• Manage daily store operations with food safety and sanitation compliance.
• Maintain staff records, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
