Job summary

Cascadia EE LLC is seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant to prepare and portion meals for residents with attention to dietary needs and safety protocols in a long-term care setting. You will handle food according to standardized recipes, monitor temperatures, and ensure timely service of meals and snacks.

Prospective candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a food handlers permit where required, with six months of related long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service.

• Uses proper portion control utensils and adheres to infection control and safety procedures.
• Keeps work area clean and organized and reports equipment issues promptly.
