Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform daily housekeeping tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

You will work under the direction of the Executive Director or Director of Housekeeping, collaborating with nursing staff, following infection control procedures, and maintaining supplies while upholding Platinum Service standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping functions and tasks as assigned and follow established safety precautions and infection control procedures.
• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
• Dispose of personal protective equipment in accordance with established sanitation procedures.
• Maintain adequate supplies of housekeeping materials in closets.
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas daily.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures and remove water marks.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrances/exits.
• Clean floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings using appropriate methods and caution signs.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, and residues from surfaces with proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, elevators, and vacant rooms.
• Store equipment, tools, and supplies properly before leaving areas for breaks or end of day.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
