Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a Collins, Mississippi long-term care facility. You will cook according to planned menus, ensure safety and quality, and maintain a clean kitchen while delivering friendly, resident-focused service.

Responsibilities include following recipes and dietary restrictions, assisting with inventory, and collaborating with staff to support daily operations and excellent resident experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate with occupants and staff.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May require ServSafe or Food Handler certification per state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
