Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and safety, and work with a warm, service-minded team.

This role emphasizes dietary restrictions, sanitation, and positive resident interaction, with hands-on training and opportunities for career development at HCSG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience as a cook or food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
