Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group in Michigan is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents, guests and staff according to planned menus and recipes. You will work as part of a collaborative kitchen team in a senior living environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training and at least three years of line cook experience, with strong communication skills. You will maintain quality, safety, and stocking standards throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• A minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure that sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, proper cooking status, and seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
