Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct resident-centered activities for the facility.
• Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations and professional standards.
• Provide clear communication among employees, residents, families, and public agencies.
• Participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident needs.
• Participate in facility surveys conducted by government agencies.
• Review and develop plans of correction for activity deficiencies noted during surveys.
• Attend regular meetings with staff, QA teams, and committees.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Arrange transportation for residents for outings, appointments, or discharge.
• Develop monthly activity schedules including outings, group activities, and in-room activities.
