Job summary

St. Joseph Residence is seeking an Activity Director to lead engaging programs across our skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living communities. You will shape a vibrant resident experience focused on connection, enjoyment, and meaningful activities.

As a collaborative leader, you will guide a dedicated team, partner with residents and families, and develop calendars and events that promote belonging, purpose, and choice in every day of community life.

Qualifications

• Two years of elder care or dementia care experience.
• At least one year of supervisory or management experience.
• Qualified OT or OTA or willingness to complete Activity Professional program.
• Valid WI driver’s license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a resident-centered activity program blending social, creative, physical, cognitive, sensory, and spiritual experiences.
• Create a welcoming environment where residents of all abilities can participate and thrive.
• Plan, coordinate, lead, and participate in daily programming aligned with each resident’s interests and care plan.
• Publish inviting monthly activity calendars and schedules tailored to each community.
• Plan and support resident outings at least monthly, including driving the community bus.
