Job summary

Integral Senior Living in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced Recreation/Program Supervisor to plan and oversee lifestyle activities across the community, including holidays and events. You will lead a team, coordinate volunteers, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The role requires an Associate degree in Recreation or related field and 3–5 years of experience, including 2 years supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, or Adult Education.
• Three to five years related experience.
• Two years supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and conducts lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residents.
• Plans appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
• Recruits and develops additional resources for services to the residents; initiates correspondence with outside organizations and volunteers.
• Advises and motivates residents regarding activities based on interests and opportunities for growth.
• Prepares and organizes a calendar of events; posts and distributes the calendar.
• Develops and prints the community newsletter.
• Provides leadership of lifestyle program.
• Coordinates the community library.
• Purchases and maintains equipment and supplies within budget.
• Prepares preliminary draft of Celebrations Operating Budget.
• Organizes and supervises a volunteer staff.
• Addresses resident groups on subjects of common interest.
• Maintains a database and prepares reports on resident quality assurance assessments.
• Supervises staff of Recreation and Event Coordinators across levels of service in a retirement community.
• Participates in community in-services.
• Demonstrates compliance with regulations; ensures compliance.
• Develops and analyzes resident surveys to ensure activities meet resident interests.
• Plans, coordinates and facilitates appropriate mixed group activities.
• Displays daily activities on bulletin boards and kiosks.
• Maintains a robust public relations program in support of activities programming and community relations.
• Implements a volunteer recognition program.
• Other duties as assigned.
