Concho Health and Rehabilitation Center in Texas is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve residents with person-centered care aimed at improving swallowing, cognition, and communication.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Help residents in goals to improve cognition or swallowing.
• Educate residents and caregivers.
• Provide skilled speech and language therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for severe expressive/language disorders.
• Train clients, family, caregivers, and other professionals.
• Coordinate diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES) as ordered by physician.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills per standards of practice.
• Communicate changes in resident's condition.
• Provide billing records and clinical documentation.
• Respond to family requests and concerns timely.
• Coordinate with Restorative Nursing and other staff.
• Ensure no resident abuse or neglect; maintain confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
