Evercare of Jerseyville is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with physician orders and facility menus. You will monitor food handling, preparation, and sanitation to meet health and safety standards while supporting resident health and comfort.

The role involves following menus, documenting substitutions, honoring dietary requests, and ensuring safe, hygienic service. Overtime may be required; a team-oriented setting and opportunities for growth are highlighted

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; experience may substitute.
• English communication skills required.
• Knowledge of diet orders and recipes is essential.
• Food protection certification is preferred or obtained within a set period.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve meals according to physician-ordered diets and facility menus.
• Follow established menus and document substitutions.
• Honor resident special requests within prescribed diet orders.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served safely and hygienically.
• Follow cleaning schedules as directed by the Food Service Manager.
• Label, date, and store leftovers properly.
• Report menu changes, supply needs, or equipment issues.
• Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Assist dietary aides and dishwashers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Attend required in-service training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
