Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of hotel/restaurant healthcare cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, diet orders, and production needs.
• Comfort preparing meals for a variety of dietary needs and modified textures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing meals.
• Prepare mechanically altered and therapeutically modified items as ordered.
• Follow HACCP procedures with focus on food safety.
• Maintain high sanitation standards in kitchen and work areas.
• Clean kitchen equipment per procedures.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and secure areas.
• Document daily food storage for dry, refrigerated, and frozen items.
• Organize food storage and support safe handling practices.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely per MSDS and state requirements.
• Assist with additional culinary functions as needed.
• Support a positive dining experience for residents, guests, and team members.
