Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our long-term care team. You will provide resident-centered care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the nursing staff under RN supervision.

Minimum requirements include a CNA certification, high school diploma or GED, and age 18+. Prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months of date into the position.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Colorado: Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification may be required.
• Continuing education minimums: 12 hours annually.
• Maintain department-specific required certifications.
• Where applicable, registered with Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with DMV check.
• Must be medically qualified to perform driving duties under policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with infection prevention and PPE use as required.
• Support and assist nursing staff with procedures and care planning.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and dining activities to enhance resident experience.
