Job summary

Sanford Health is the largest rural health system in the United States and seeks a Nursing Assistant to support residents in long-term care across multiple locations within a 75 mile radius of the permanent address.

The NA provides resident-centered care under RN supervision, assists with daily living activities, records vital signs, and upholds infection prevention policies. CNA certification is required or in process, with weekend and evening shift differentials noted.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities.
• Obtains and records vital signs and documents resident care needs.
• Assists residents with meals, mobility and personal care.
• Communicates changes to the charge nurse and adheres to infection control policies.
