Job summary

Great Lakes Management Company in Maplewood seeks a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents. The role includes assisting with daily activities, dining helper, and participating in activities and outings as outlined in each resident's service agreement.

The position offers shift differentials and a 401(k) match, with hours from 6am to 2pm. Pay ranges from $17 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Compassion, patience, and strong listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in service agreements.
• Help residents reach and maintain highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.
• Complete documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheets, and communication book.
