Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA to deliver quality care and assist residents with daily living activities. You will work as part of a nursing team, respond to emergencies, and support residents with mobility, dining, and activities.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, completion of PCA program, strong communication, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and CPR/First Aid certification or willing to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of approved Personal Care Aide program.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Able to walk/stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Assist residents with daily living and housekeeping duties.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly.
• Plan and conduct activity programs; assist move-in transitions.
• Follow confidentiality policies; communicate status and appointments.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Represent the community professionally.
• Other duties as assigned.
