Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide daily living assistance to residents and support the nursing team. The role includes helping with meals, activities, and mobility, while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.

Candidates must complete a state-approved PCA program, hold a High School Diploma or GED, and be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Keeps resident status and assignments documented and communicated.
