Job summary

HACIENDAOAKS in Beeville, TX is looking for a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support the Nursing Department and staff. This role includes assisting with resident care, reporting changes to nurses, answering calls, transporting residents, and helping with routine tasks at the nursing station.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least an 8th grade education and be able to read, write, and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to work with residents with dignity and respect, and to communicate effectively with staff.
• Willingness to learn and follow established nursing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident care and daily activities under supervision of nursing staff.
• Report accidents, changes in condition, and safety concerns to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Answer phones, perform secretarial tasks, and help with routine facility duties.
• Transport residents to meals, activities, and other areas as needed.
• Maintain clean, orderly rooms and common areas; restock supplies as deliveries arrive.
• Follow safety protocols for exposure to blood/body fluids and use protective equipment as required.
• Care for residents with compassion, knock before entering rooms, and protect resident privacy.
