Job summary

Longhorn Village in Austin, TX is seeking a Courteous Officer to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. Under the Director of Environmental Services, you will patrol the grounds, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

You are passionate about customer service and geriatric care, dependable, and able to communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; graduate of accredited technical school preferred, but not required.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Position may require certifications or licenses as determined by local authority.

Responsibilities

• Patrol community premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, equipment and vehicles.
• Alert authorities in case of a fire, presence of unauthorized persons or medical emergency. Dispatch ambulance or non-emergency medical transportation as needed.
• Answer residents' questions and provide information during non-business hours or when concierge is off-duty.
• Monitor and adjust building controls such as air conditioning, furnace or boiler.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities; document property issues or unusual occurrences.
• Complete work orders with Maintenance items and keep area clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Demonstrate hospitality promises toward residents, families, associates and vendors.
