Job summary

Longhorn Village in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Janitor to maintain the daily cleanliness and appearance of common and non-residential areas under the Environmental Services Supervisor.

Responsibilities include floor care, trash removal, window washing, and basic move-in support; prior 1–3 years in hospitality or health care housekeeping is preferred; High School diploma or GED is optional.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour workday.
• Preferred minimum experience of 1-3 years in housekeeping, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of common or non-residential areas (corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, utility rooms) according to standards; handles floor care (vacuuming, waxing, mopping) and trash removal.
• Washes windows, polices grounds for trash, assists with resident baggage and may help housekeeper in resident homes.
• Supports cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, and other incidents; maintains OSHA compliance and supports community hospitality promises.
