Longhorn Village in Austin, TX is seeking a courteous officer to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Under the Director of Environmental Services, you will respond to emergencies, monitor building systems, and assist during after-hours operations.

The role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and teamwork within a not-for-profit retirement community. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required; certifications may be needed locally.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; technical school preferred but not required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Position may require certifications or licenses as determined by local authority.

Responsabilités

• Patrol community premises to prevent intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, equipment and vehicles.
• Alert authorities in case of a fire or medical emergency; dispatch ambulance or transport as needed.
• Answer questions and provide information to residents during non-business hours or when concierge is off-duty.
• Monitor and adjust building systems such as air conditioning, furnace or boiler.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities (e.g., equipment damage or theft).
• Complete work orders with Maintenance items.
• Maintain work area and ensure OSHA safety standards are met.
• Demonstrate hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.
