Job summary

Viva Senior Living in Neosho, Missouri seeks a Resident Care Associate who delivers compassionate, high standards of resident care and supports a homelike atmosphere. Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial environment and show compassion and dignity to residents.
• In exigent circumstances, may be subject to call back during emergency conditions.
• Must adhere to attendance policies and terms of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and contribute to continuity of care by reporting changes to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
• Be knowledgeable of individualized care plans and support residents accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors to promote a homelike environment.
• Report incidents of abuse or rights violations to appropriate staff.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures and meet skin-care needs of residents.
• Arrive to work at the scheduled time and perform related duties as required.
