Job summary

Viva Senior Living in Missouri seeks a Resident Care Associate to provide direct care to residents and support continuity of care. You will report changes in residents’ condition to the Resident Care Director and assist with daily living activities, ensuring compassionate, dignity-filled service.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must maintain compassion and dignity for residents and adhere to Resident Bill of Rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and communicate changes in condition to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff promptly within policy.
• Follow individualized care plans and support staff with care planning with observation notes.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors to promote a homelike environment.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any abuse or rights violations promptly.
