Job summary

Shelton Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Resident Care Manager Nurse to oversee proper administration of total resident care. You will supervise Licensed Nurses and CNAs and ensure adherence to nursing standards within the facility.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring residents, taking vital signs, and updating care plans as conditions evolve. Requires RN or LPN licensure and a nursing degree.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 124
• Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of employment.
• Knowledge of geriatric nursing and long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Observe residents and document significant changes, notifying supervisor, family and physician as needed.
• Take vital signs and assess residents' condition.
• Modify care plans and ADL sheets in response to condition changes.

Job Summary:

Shelton Health and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for a Resident Care Manager Nurse to oversee the proper administration of total care to our residents. Provides general nursing care to residents, and oversee the work of the Licensed Nurses and CNAs in our facility.

Essential Functions:

• Obtains and administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, family, (responsible party) and physician of resident's change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Takes vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
• Administers appropriate disciplinary action for nursing staff non-compliance with state and federal regulations and Center policies.
• Modifies resident care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Aide flow sheets in conjunction with resident changes in condition

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Required: Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of employment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing process, particularly as it relates to geriatric residents, long-term care, and rehabilitation.
