Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help maintain high food quality and safety while delivering friendly service in a caring environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions, and physical stamina. ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law, and residency within the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
