Job summary

Freedom Village Holland is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) / Caregiver for the 1st shift on a part-time basis. Pay ranges from $14.50 to $15.00 per hour, with shift differentials and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

You will assist residents with daily living activities and have opportunities to pursue CNA classes and state testing through MTEC, with a guaranteed promotion on certification.

Qualifications

• Prior geriatric care experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to document care accurately.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, and exercising.
• Perform basic treatments, tests, and procedures as instructed.
• Record observations and care provided.
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean resident rooms.
• Maintain safe and sanitary work areas.
• Encourage independence and participation in activities.
• Attend in‑service training and education sessions.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Currently Hiring: Part‑Time • 1st Shift (6am–2pm)

Pay: $14.50–$15.00/hr (base rate)

Sign‑On Bonus: $2,000 PT / $3,500 FT

Shift Differentials: +$3.00/$5.00 (2nd/3rd shifts)

Opportunities: Full‑Time & Part‑Time

About the Role

• Assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living
• Support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility
• Provide routine care to promote independence and dignity
• Serve as a stepping‑stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
• Freedom Village pays for CNA classes + state testing through MTEC
• Guaranteed promotion and pay increase once certified
