Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide compassionate care to residents in our Winston-Salem community. You will assist with daily living activities, respond to resident needs, and participate in activity programs to enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities include documenting resident status, coordinating with nursing staff, and maintaining confidentiality. A PCA program certificate and CPR/First Aid are required or obtained within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Completion of approved PCA program per state regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Contribute to nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Polite and considerate to residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and pushing or carrying 25 lbs.
• Safely lift and transfer residents with proper body mechanics.
• Uniform and name badge must be worn during shift.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Represent the community positively and professionally.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Assist with housekeeping and resident residence areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls or emergency alerts.
• Support activity planning and resident engagement.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information per policies.
• Assist residents to dining and activities and during move-in transitions.
• Communicate resident status and community information in writing.
• Participate as a constructive member of the nursing team.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
