Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to support residents with daily living activities, help with meals, and respond to emergencies.

You will follow policies, maintain confidentiality, participate in activities, and join a caring nursing team. Requires HS diploma, PCA program, strong communication, ability to lift 50 lbs, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Reports incidents to appropriate individuals (e.g., RN/LPN, ED).
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Performs housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning activity programs and communicates resident status and needs.
