Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assistance with daily living activities for residents in a senior living community. You will help with meals, mobility, safety, documentation, and reporting incidents while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Organizational skills and ability to work well with all levels of staff are required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with resident transfers.

Responsibilities

• Report incidents involving residents to appropriate personnel (HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures for the position.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in resident areas per supervisor instruction.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Remain calm and competent during emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Follow confidentiality policies for resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Monitor resident attendance at meals and activities.
• Communicate status and upcoming information in writing and verbally.
• Support new residents with move‑in transition and emotional support.
• Attend in‑services and staff meetings.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
