Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Waldorf, Maryland is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality daily living support for residents in our community. You will assist with activities of daily living, respond to calls, and help with mobility and transfers.

You will work closely with the nursing team, follow policies, maintain resident confidentiality, and participate in activities. A high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCA program are required; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Organized and able to collaborate with all staff
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain within 60 days
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Follows confidentiality policies
• Uniform with name badge worn

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or supervisor
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs
• Support move-in transitions and provide emotional support
• Communicate resident status and upcoming appointments to the team
• Ensure attendance at meals and activities
• Maintain resident confidentiality and data accuracy
• Other duties as assigned
