Job summary

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in writing and speech, collaborate with the nursing team, and remain calm during emergencies. A high school diploma and approved PCA program are required; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas and rooms.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Monitor residents at meals and attendances at activities; report status.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
