Job summary

Great Lakes Management (GLM) is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents in our long-term care and assisted living settings. You will provide hands-on care, assist in dining, encourage participation in activities, and communicate with residents and families.

Multiple shifts are available, including mornings, afternoons, and nights; full-time positions come with health benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
• Ability to make responsible decisions in residents’ best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
