Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Aide to assist residents with daily living, monitor health, respond to calls, and support activities in Moon Township, PA. You will work with a caring nursing team to ensure safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.

The role requires effective communication, organizational skills, and physical ability to lift 50 lbs and transfer residents. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Approved Personal Care Aide program or state equivalent must be completed.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must be organized and work well with all levels of staff.
• Be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow supervisor directions.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and coworkers at all times.
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods; lift 50 lbs and transfer residents.
• Must wear designated uniform, including name badge.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Represent the community positively and professionally.
• Attend and complete required in-services and staff meetings.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Report incidents involving residents to appropriate personnel.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Remain calm and competent during emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Check on residents' status and attendance at meals and activities.
• Communicate status, appointments, admissions, and transfers in writing and verbally.
• Provide emotional support during move-in transitions.
• Other duties as assigned.
