Job summary

Birchaven Village seeks a Nurse Aide to assist licensed staff in providing direct resident care and maintaining comfort for residents in an Ohio facility. Duties include room preparation, safety checks, and clear communication with nursing staff.

The role requires NATCEP completion, State Tested Nurse Aide registry in Ohio within four months of hire, and strong interpersonal skills to support residents’ needs and rights in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Age 16 minimum.
• NATCEP certificate (75 hours).
• Active STNA registry in Ohio within 4 months of hire.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of aging and related care needs.
• Ability to assess resident data and needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and prepare rooms as directed by nursing staff.
• Report changes in resident condition to charging nurse.
• Communicate needs for supplies and ensure adequate stock for daily care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Demonstrate service excellence aligned with mission and resident rights.
• Comply with policies to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
