Job summary

Bruce McCandless Veterans Community Living Center in Florence, CO is seeking a Client Care Aide I to join our nursing team. This on-site role provides direct, hands-on care under supervision, assisting residents with daily living activities and basic health monitoring.

Anticipated start date is December 7, 2026. The hiring process includes on-site interviews, reference checks, background and drug screening, and potential same-day offers.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted CNA license or eligible within 120 days of CNA program completion
• Current and valid BLS CPR certification
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under supervision and in accordance with professional standards and facility policy
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, skin care, ROM, ambulation, transfers, toileting, feeding, and transportation
• Perform basic tasks such as vital signs and weight/height measurements and document care in EMR/EHR
• Maintain infection control and safety in a clean environment
• Document observations and care provided, and communicate with interdisciplinary team
