Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a custodial and laundry support worker at Bruce McCandless Community Living Center. This position is open only to current Colorado residents.

CDHS facilities strive to respect resident choices and deliver high-quality service. The role includes cleaning, sanitation, laundry and light maintenance tasks as part of daily operations, with shift work including weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience cleaning in a business, medical or industrial setting.
• Previous custodial experience in a long-term care or hospital facility preferred.
• Previous experience in commercial laundry processing
• Paying attention to detail, strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Working in a team environment to complete daily workloads and provide support when necessary outside of assigned areas.
• Excellent customer service skills to include communication with and responding to all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and servicing of assigned work area as per schedule using approved disinfectants and equipment.
• Handle, sort, load, unload, fold, and distribute residents’ laundry and Facility linen; follow Universal Precautions and operate Laundry Equipment.
