Job summary

State of Colorado, Homelake Veterans Community Living Center, is seeking a Client Care Aide (CNA) for full-time, temporary evening shifts (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) Sunday through Thursday. The role requires Colorado CNA certification and current BLS CPR, with background checks and vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities include basic nursing care, patient assessments, documentation, and ensuring safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Current & active Certified Nurse Assistant license, and have a current BLS CPR certification.
• Vaccinations as required by State and facility.
• High school diploma or GED is required; 1 year of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care: bathing, feeding, dressing, transferring, ambulating, positioning, lifting, range of motion, toileting, skin care.
• Provide resident safety through proper lifting techniques and monitoring environment.
• Perform basic resident assessments (weights, bowel/bladder, vital signs) and record results.
• Record shift data on hall sheets and maintain infection control practices.
• Communicate findings to RN/LPN and coordinate care with team.
• Maintain therapeutic milieu and assist residents with rooms and belongings.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, assist with transports in state vehicles as needed.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay current on policies and techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
